Atomos has released a firmware update for its compact 5" 4K60p monitor/recorder ![]() Atomos Ninja V with Olympus camera
The Ninja V allows users to monitor the camera&s RAW signal on the 1000 nits hgell 5" HDR screen. Users can view the image in HDR quality with a choice of HLG and PQ formats (HDR10). The Ninja V provides touch screen access to tools such as waveforms, 1:1 magnification and focus tips to control the image. The Ninja V then records the ProRes RAW data to a removable AtomX SSDmini or other SSD drive. When the capture is complete, the drive is removed and the data transferred to a computer via USB for editing. ProRes RAW is supported in Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premiere Pro as well as in a number of other NLEs such as Assimilate Scratch, Colorfront, FilmLight Baselight and Grass Valley Edius.
