Atomos now ships the Atomos AtomX SYNC module for its compact 5" 4K60p monitor/recorder Several Ninja V recorders can be synchronized and remotely controlled via AtomX Sync modules in the same network, for example during multi-cam shootings - using technology from Timecode Systems. The AtomX SYNC module adds broadcast level standards to any camera connected to the Ninja V via HDMI and enables the easy integration of large format consumer cameras into traditional live productions. The remote control works by using one Ninja V which acts as master for the others. ![]() Atomos AtomX SYNC Module The AtomX SYNC module is clamped between the Ninja V and the battery using the AtomX expansion system. With a small battery inside, it also functions as a hot-swap permanent battery extension that allows the Ninja V to operate for about 5 minutes while the main battery is changed. Very handy is the new function of automatic calibration of analog audio from an external source via the microphone input of the Ninja V with the video recorded via HDMI. It determines the difference between the embedded HDMI audio and the external audio input for each specific camera setup. The calibration process takes less than 2 seconds, after which both sources are lip-synced. ![]() Two Nikon cameras with Atomos Ninja V and AtomX SYNC module The AtomX SYNC module is available immediately and costs 149 Euro. The Ninja V must be updated together with the AtomX SYNC module the free AtomOS 10.4 to use the functionality of the module.
