The Blackmagic Camera App brings the rather intuitive and user-friendly interface of the Blackmagic cameras to the iPhone and offers manual setting options for frame rate, shutter angle, white balance or ISO.
The speed of development is astonishing, as there is yet another update with many new improvements: the camera can now also flip the image horizontally when using SLR lenses. Lower ISO settings should now also be possible.

In detail, the following improvements can be found in the new, current version 1.2.1 from December 18, 2023:
- Mirror image" now mirrors the image both vertically and horizontally when using SLR lenses, so that fonts in the image remain legible and are no longer recorded mirror-inverted.
- Improved ISO controls to enable lower ISO ranges.
- Improved handling when importing already installed LUTs.
- Fixed an issue with the preview quality when changing the phone orientation.
- Fixed an issue with audio synchronization when changing lenses during recording.
- General stability and performance improvements.
The new version of the app is still available for free in the Apple Store (as are all previous versions).
