Blackmagic has released another update to its popular video suite, again offering a number of new features. The biggest news here are improved presets for social media. This concerns both the automated upload options as well as new, vertical and square video formats for Tik Tok or Instagram.
DaVinci Resolve 18.1 also introduces a second powerful AI-based track effect - the Dialogue Leveler. This intelligently processes dialogue recordings to automatically compensate for different levels. Also sorely missed are vector-based keyframes, which finally make their appearance in Reolve 18.1. With this, transitions between two keyframes can be defined vector-based with Bezier curves, which can make the transitions look much more natural than with linear changes. There are many more news, but the best thing to watch is the following video, which Blackmagic produced especially for this minor release: Fusion also gets an update, which now brings support for the Magic Mask, among other things. As always, the updates are free for existing customers. The current version 18.1 is now available for download for MacOS and Windows10/11. It can be assumed that the announced iPad version 18.1 will soon inherit many of these new features. Bild zur Newsmeldung:
