Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 20.1.1 and new Features Guide

Blackmagic has released another update for its free grading, editing, compositing, and audio mastering program, Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve (Studio) version 20, which was released in May, following the first major update. This update does not introduce any new features but fixes numerous minor issues, so it should be installed to ensure the smoothest possible operation.

Additionally, Blackmagic has published a (51-page guide) to the (new features of Resolve 20.1), which explains the many new features and improvements in the various workspaces of Resolve. These include support for Apple Spatial Audio in Fairlight, Magic Mask v2, and the Immersive Patcher in Fusion, new Resolve FX such as the ColorTone Diffuser and Split Tone, as well as workflow improvements such as custom guides and optimized keyframe editing.

New Features in DaVinci Resolve 20.1.1

- Fixed an issue with the loading time of cloud projects when stacked timelines were enabled.
- Adjusted the attribute dialogues so that the user&s selection is retained until the next copy.
- Fixed the time and motion persistence when pasting attributes.
- Fixed issues with loading and importing PSD files into a composition.
- Fixed an issue when activating Aux channels in Swizzler.
- Fixed an issue with the offset of the Fusion Magic Mask when switching modes.
- Fixed an issue with lens space transformations in Fusion compositions.
- Fixed an issue where media in Color or Mix mode did not reflect the Magic Mask.
- Fixed an issue where media in Mix mode would get stuck in certain scenarios.
- Fixed an issue where crashes occurred with the depth map on some Intel Macs.
- Fixed an issue where crashes occurred when loading incorrectly formatted MTS clips.
- Fixed an incorrect FPS interpretation in some MKV clips.
- Fixed issues with Dolby Vision ISXD metadata formatting.
- Fixed issues with 3D Qualifier and 3D Keyer in DaVinci Resolve Renderer.
- Fixed an issue when restoring the dual screen when switching between pages.
- Improved the bitrate and layout of the settings for native Windows codecs.
- General improvements to performance and stability.
