Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 20 Beta 4 Version - Enhanced Keyframe Editor, Among Other Improvements

Blackmagic Design has just released the fourth beta version of its free grading, editing, compositing, and audio mastering program DaVinci Resolve (Studio) 20, as well as the standalone VFX tool Fusion. Most of the news this time revolves around the Keyframe Editor, but other functions have also been improved.

In detail, the following functions have been added or updated:

- New flat mode for keyframe easing.
- Option to display clip handles for the curve editor.
- Context click on curve keyframes for quick access to easing options.

- Scripting API support for Media Pool clips to monitor growing files.
- AI Voice Convert is now available in the Fairlight timeline context menu.
- DaVinci Remote Monitor App now supports Intel and AMD systems on Windows.
- Support for interpolated animation for manually created and imported subtitles.
- DCTL encryption option for non-LUT DCTLs from the LUT browser context menu.
- Fixed issue with subtitle animation when adding new words.
- Timelines created from AI IntelliScript now use the script name.
- New Swizzler tool for reordering layers in multi-layered workflows.

Furthermore, the following known issues have been resolved:

- Fixed issue with Multicam SmartSwitch and some Nvidia graphics cards.
- Fixed issue with naming MultiText layers when deleting a text layer.
- Fixed incorrect countdown pause for the first voiceover in a session.
- Fixed Cut page user interface issues when switching between portrait and landscape format.
- Fixed issue with resetting keyframes not affecting keyframes in clip handles.
- Fixed an issue where the source clip color changed from the source timeline.
- Fixed an issue with arrow key navigation in the media pool with custom sorting.
- Fixed issues with media pool search when displaying the source tape on the edit page.
- Fixed issue with enabling AI Super Scale from the inspector.
- Fixed issues with AI Super Scale and Video HDR on Nvidia RTX graphics cards.
- Fixed a crash with AI Voice Convert on Nvidia RTX graphics cards.
- Fixed incorrect behavior when removing silence for clips with audio channels set to "None".
- Fixed issue with previewing media with mismatched pixel aspect ratio in Fusion.
- Fixed issue with the 24-hour timecode display preference in some timecode displays.
- Fixed resetting the Magic Mask cache when switching a post-clip group node.
- Automatic media file resynchronization should only work for bins with the same name as folders.
- Fixed quick exports ignoring the timeline render resolution setting.
- Fixed issue in the macOS settings menu when the interface language was set to French.

In addition, there are said to be general performance and stability improvements. As always, the new beta version is available for free download for the Standard/Studio and Fusion Stand Alone versions, provided you have a corresponding, valid license.
