If you can still find PCI Express slots in your editing system, you can install what is currently the ultimate capture and playback card with the newly introduced Blackmagic DeckLink 8K Pro G2.
The DeckLink 8K Pro G2 has four bidirectional 12G-SDI and 1x HDMI 2.1 In and 1x HDMI 2.1 Out connections, all with support for SD, HD, Ultra HD, 4K and 8K formats. This makes it a professional 8K PCIe capture and playback card for feature film and series production.

For multi-channel recording and playback, it can also be configured with the free DeckLink SDK for up to four simultaneous video streams in any direction, any format and any frame rate up to 4K DCI 60p. The DeckLink 8K Pro G2 supports 8- and 10-bit YUV with 4:2:2 colour sampling as well as 10- and 12-bit RGB with 4:4:4 with the full Rec. 2020 colour space. It can also be used to work in HD and 4K at up to 120 fps and in 8K at up to 60 fps. The four 12G-SDI connections also support up to 64 channels of embedded audio.
The card supports 8 PCI Express Gen 3 lanes and should therefore work in all PCIe slots from the third generation with 8 or 16 lanes. On the main card there are 4 x 12G SDI in/out connections and the ref port, on an additional board there are HDMI 2.1 IN and Out as well as an RS-422 Deck Control interface:

AVC-Intra, AVCHD, Canon XF MPEG2, Digital SLR, DV-NTSC, DV-PAL, DVCPRO50, DVCPROHD, DPX, HDV, XDCAM EX, XDCAM HD, XDCAM HD422, DNxHR and DNxHD, Apple ProRes 4444, Apple ProRes 422 HQ, Apple ProRes 422, Apple ProRes LT, Apple ProRes 422 Proxy, Uncompressed 8-bit 4: 2:2, Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2, Uncompressed 10-bit 4:4:4.
And the following apps should be compatible with the card:
DaVinci Resolve, Fusion, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, Adobe After Effects, Avid Pro Tools, Steinberg Cubase, Autodesk Flame, Adobe Photoshop
The Blackmagic DeckLink 8K Pro G2 will be available immediately for a recommended retail price of 819 euros.
