Blackmagic Design has released the Media Module 16 TB, a new, high-performance storage module for its URSA Cine 12K and 17K cameras. The new M.2 SSD module is inserted into the media bay of the cameras and doubles the previously possible storage capacity to 16 TB. It supports the storage of up to 12-bit Blackmagic RAW and H.264 proxy files at storage rates of up to 1,432 MB/s at 24 fps. The Media Module is specifically designed for professional use with the Blackmagic Design Media Dock, which holds up to three Blackmagic Media Modules and can transfer their data via four 10G Ethernet ports directly to the network, to the Blackmagic Cloud, or directly to separate editing computers at extremely high speed, and also enables the display of the status in real time on a monitor via HDMI output. ![]() Blackmagic Design Media Module 16 TB The new Blackmagic Design Media Module 16 TB costs 2,769 euros and is expected to be delivered soon.
