Blackmagic has released version 11.5 of its desktop video software (Windows/macOS/Linux) for its PCIe and Thunderbolt DeckLink, Intensity and UltraStudio model series.
If you still use Windows 7, you should update your operating system soon, because Desktop Video 11.5 is the last version that still supports Windows 7.
The update brings HDR support in Adobe Premiere Pro for UltraStudio 4K Mini, UltraStudio 4K Extreme, DeckLink 8K Pro, DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G, and Avid Artist DnxIQ and DNxID. In addition to the overall stability and performance of all devices, the compatibility of UltraHD RGB formats has been improved for the DeckLink Mini Recoder 4K.
Avid Media Express 3.6.1 adds support for Rec. 2020, HLG and PQ in Quicktime files for recording and playback. The Desktop Video 11.5 package also includes a new Flash tool for firmware recovery for DeckLink PCIe devices after a failed firmware update.
The new version also fixes a bug in Premiere that caused the Timeline to blink and another that caused the sound to mute when moving clips in the Timeline during playback.
