Exciting news for all Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II users: With the public release of the third beta of Blackmagic Raw 2.1, Blackmagic Design implements Blackmagic RAW recording for the Nikon Z6 II and Nikon Z7 II via its Videoassist recorders of the 12G series (currently apparently first the 7" model).
Also included in the Blackmagic RAW 2.1 beta 3 are performance and stability improvements for the BMD Raw plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro and general performance updates.
We had already reported
here about the corresponding firmware update from Nikon's side for the Z6 II and Z7 II. Important for all Nikon users: The activation of the external RAW recording function must be paid for at a Nikon Service Point.
In order to use Blackmagic Raw with the current Nikons, the Blackmagic Video Assist 3.4 firmware must also be installed on the 12G HDR 7" Video Assist.
We are very excited about the first tests with the new RAW functions and will of course keep you up to date here ...
