Blackmagic lowers prices on its network storage for Resolve Cloud

Blackmagic Design has announced price reductions for its Cloud Store network storage solutions. For example, Blackmagic Cloud Store Mini 8TB now costs just €2,649 (down from €3,165), the price of Blackmagic Cloud Store 20TB has been reduced from €10,115 to €8,515, and the Blackmagic Cloud Store 80TB model has been reduced by around €6,000 from €31,565 to €25,775. These price reductions were made possible by lower purchase prices of components for high-speed flash storage, which thus make high-speed network storage more affordable.
Blackmagic Cloud Store Solutions
The various Blackmagioc Cloud devices provide centralized local access to video files for teams as part of the cloud features introduced with Resolve 18. Primarily, these stores are designed for high-speed local networking via 10G Ethernet, but they also work over the Internet and can sync with Dropbox, for example. A special feature that differentiates Blackmagic&s new models from classic NAS solutions is HDMI monitoring output, which enables Blackmagic Cloud Store live status output on a TV or monitor.

The most powerful solution of the three is the Blackmagic Cloud Store, which is targeted at professional users in editing, color grading, audio post and VFX in film and television and is said to be able to replace local storage on the respective computers with zero latency. It has four 10G Ethernet ports and can be configured with a choice of 20TB, 80TB and 320TB NVMe SSD storage in M.2 format.

Blackmagic Cloud Pod
The Blackmagic Cloud Pod is the smallest of Blackmagic&s new storage solutions. With its help, pre-existing storage can be used in the Resolve Cloud using two USB-C ports. Its features include a 10G Ethernet port, as well as Dropbox syncing so users can cache files locally and share them with anyone on the network. HDMI monitoring output can be used to display the status of the network storage in real time.
