Blackmagic has announced a radical price reduction for its URSA Cine camera kits. The URSA Cine 12K LF and 17K 65 kits, as well as the respective variants with EVF (electronic viewfinder), have been reduced by up to 36.7%. Blackmagic states that it has worked intensively to reduce production costs and is now passing the resulting savings directly on to its customers. ![]()
The Blackmagic URSA Cine camera kits include, among other things, the camera body, an 8TB media module, top handle, baseplate, power supply, and a battery plate in a robust Pelican case, as well as other accessories. Due to regional duties and exchange rates, the price reductions will be implemented somewhat differently. The currently weak dollar exchange rate gives hope for an additional indirect price reduction. However, the housings alone, i.e., the bare cameras, have not been reduced. These currently officially cost 7,175 euros (URSA Cine 12K LF) or 22,545 euros (URSA Cine 17K 65). It will be interesting to see whether the current price reductions may also have something to do with product launches at the upcoming IBC 2024 in Amsterdam. ![]() Here is our practical test of the Blackmagic Ursa Cine 12K: High-End Cine Camera with outstanding capabilities: www.slashcam.de/artikel/Test/Blackmagic-Ursa-Cine-12K-in-der-Praxis--High-End-Cine-Kamera-mit-herausragenden-Faehigkeiten.html and our sensor test of the URSA Cine 12K LF: ![]() ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Blackmagic senkt Preise für URSA Cine 12K und 17k Kits radikal |
