Boris FX has updated its Continuum collection of FX plug-ins for various editing and compositing programs, the largest ever. Continuum 2021 includes tools for the analog film look using Boris FX&s recently acquired Digital Film Tool (DFT) technology, as well as additions to the real-time mograph generator Particle Illusion, which creates 3D particles with a single click.
;) Boris FX Continuum 2021 The new functions of Continuum 2021 in detail - The Cinematographer&s Toolkit offers over 80 HDR-compatible effects, including footage, look development, optical filter simulation, and lighting. All effects are GPU-accelerated, support OCIO color management and can be customized with the new FX Editor interface. -- Filmlooks: 300 customizable presets organized by color, black and white, photographic film, and motion picture film types including Kodachrome, Ektachrome, Fuji, Agfa, and Polaroid. -- Look Development: Includes more than 85 color correction presets from Academy Award nominated films, including 2001: A Space Odyssey, Apocalypse Now, Blade Runner, Back to the Future, Frankenstein, Gone with the Wind and Titanic, more than 65 stylized presets for color and black-and-white looks, and a visual color wheel interface for creating custom looks. -- Optical filter simulations: Digital optical filter simulations can be used to achieve a specific look. You can darken the sky with a polarizing filter, reduce wrinkles with diffusion filters, selectively saturate colors with gain filters, and add fFarbpop with graded filters. -- Lighting: stylized atmosphere can be created using the digital gobo library (over 750 options). Scenes can be provided with realistic lens reflections, which can be adjusted with the new Flare Editor Further options are available by adding volumetric light beams and glows or by selecting colored gel from the Kodak Wratten set. - Particle Illusion&s real-time particles can now emit in 3D. New turbulence controls create more natural moving particles, a new line renderer lets you quickly connect particles together, and new presets provide particle animations. - Using Primatte Studio&s chroma keying technology, there is the new Edge Cleaner effect, which restores fine details while smoothing the edges of compressed keyed footage. Primatte Studio is also available as a separate plugin for Adobe hosts. - Title Studio adds procedural noise generators with dozens of different texture types, and a new texture composite shader expands the variety of textures and materials available for text and motion graphics. - Integration with Maxon C4D has been improved and now includes support for more texture shaders, resulting in even more accurate renderings. - More than 1000 drag and drop presets designed by professional artists. - Mocha Planar tracking has been improved with the new AdjustTrack feature. ;) Boris FX Continuum 2021 Cinematographers Toolkit Continuum 2021 is now available for Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer and supported OFX host applications such as Foundry Nuke, Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve and VEGAS Pro. Customers with an annual subscription and Upgrade and Support Plan receive a free update to Continuum 2021.
