BorisFX has released new versions of the professional VFX plug-in collections Sapphire and Continuum announced prior to NAB 2017 that work with programs such as Adobe After Effects/Premiere Pro CC, Apple Fincal Cut Pro X/Motion 5, Avid Media Composer, Autodesk Flame and OFX compatible tools such as NUKE or Blackmagic Davinci Resolve.
The new borisfx. com/products/continuum/ (BorisFX Continuum 11) includes the primate chromakeyer from Photron, a new 3D rendering engine for shadow and depth-of-field effects has been added to the Title Studio and the interface has also been reworked. A 360/VR unit based on Mocha VR technology is also new, so that spherical 360° video can be manipulated including reorientation and 360° optimized (un)sharpening - there are five VR filters in total: VR Reorient, VR Insert, VR Blur, VR Sharpen and VR Flicker Fixer.
BorisFX Continuum 11
The new Broadcast Safe Filter automatically selects the desired standard and ensures that the video is standard-compliant. Included in the package is the soundtrack tool Sonicfire Pro 6 including 10 royalty-free songs.
BorisFX Continuum&s standard functionality includes features such as Mocha&s well-known planar tracking and masking, image enhancement tools (such as digital makeup, flicker fixer, pixel fixer, lens correction, UpRez), a variety of transitions, 3D objects (including for titles), particle effects, and an FX browser to select certain looks. BorisFX Continuum 11 costs (depending on the host program) between 700 and 2,000 dollars or 200-600 dollars for 1 year subscription.
In addition to the previous functionalities such as lighting effects, film look, camera shake, lens flare and vignetting, BorisFX Sapphire 11 now also includes the motion tracking and masking tools from BorisFX Mocha and is directly available for all effects within the Timeline project.
The new version also offers over 50 effects and f-stops and optimized CPU/GPU performance. The new BorisFX Sapphire 11 costs (depending on the host program) between 1,700 and 2,800 dollars or 500-700 dollars for 1 year subscription.
