BorisFX has released the latest version of the VFX suite Sapphire. Sapphire 2020 brings a significant (sometimes up to 3 times) performance improvement through optimized GPU (Nvidia) and CPU support as well as some innovations, such as the FreeLens effect and support for OpenColorIO. The FreeLens effect simulates the popular dynamic dream image effect, which is normally achieved by holding the lens in front of the camera at a variable distance and angle - without any risk for the camera. Support for OpenColorIO (OCIO) color management allows the use and storage of OCIO color profiles. ![]()
Improvements include Mocha tracking, which has a new Area BrushTool and Positional Tracking; 16 new Lens Flare effects (Sapphire now offers over 200 in total); and 7 new Drag&Drop Builder presets. Sapphire 2020 (for Windows, macOS and Linux) is available as a plug-in for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer and OFX hosts such as Autodesk Flame 2020, Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve, Foundry Nuke and VEGAS Pro, and is currently available at a discounted price of per Black Friday promotion. Existing Sapphire customers who have a current Upgrade & Support (U&S) plan or have purchased Sapphire within the last year will receive a free update to Sapphire 2020. Customers with Sapphire 11 or earlier versions can upgrade to Sapphire 2020 - the price depends on the version. ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: BorisFX Sapphire 2020: bessere Performance, OCIO-Support und neuer FreeLens Effekt |
