Camera app FiLMiC Pro gets support for Frame.io Camera-to-Cloud

The just released new version 6.19.0 of the mobile app ( iOS/ Android) for professional film capture FiLMiC Pro now gets as the first camera app support for Frame.io Camera-to-Cloud. This integration brings Adobe Creative Cloud and Frame.io subscribers the ability to automatically upload footage captured using FiLMiC Pro directly to Frame.io Cloud in the form of a highly compressed proxy version.

Using this version, other team members such as the editor, producer, colorist or sound designer anywhere in the world can then already work with it in near real time. In addition to an Adobe Creative Cloud and Frame.io subscription and a suitable smartphone, the prerequisite for C2C functionality is the FiLMiC Cinematographer Kit, an optional kit that can be purchased via in-app purchase.

FiLMiC Pro 6.19.0&s other new features include, first, the ability to record in ProRes LogV3+ using the optional Cinematographer Kit, which now supports Flat+ and Log V3+ gamma curves. When selecting ProRes 709, these new gamma curves are now available. Second, swiping can now be used to switch between clips without leaving the clip player, for example to quickly review footage in full-screen mode.
