For high-quality 4K, 8K and HDR cinema productions with Super35 cameras, Canon is bringing two new zoom lenses. The CN-E14-35mm T1.7 L and CN-E31.5-95mm T1.7 L expand Canon&s Flex Zoom series and feature a high constant aperture of T1.7 throughout. They offer a Canon signature look with warm colors and lifelike reproduction of skin tones. ![]() CN-E14-35mm T1.7 L The interchangeable bayonet allows use on the EF and PL bayonets. These lenses are also the first in the Canon Cinema Series to be compatible with Canon&s new RL-F1 and RL-F2 Relay Kits. These are optical components that can be used to change the light circle of an optic - the cine zooms can thus be changed from Super 35mm to full-frame and back again at any authorized Canon service center. There are four such relay kits in total - two more (RL-S1 and RL-S2) make it possible to convert upcoming wide-angle and telephoto zoom lenses designed for full-frame cameras to Super 35mm cameras.

They are ruggedly built and weigh 3.3 and 3.5 kg, respectively. ![]() Both lenses support efficient lens metadata workflows, including Cooke /i Technology and ZEISS eXtended Data via the PL bayonet as well as via 4-pin Lemo communication. This makes them recommended for virtual productions, for example, where position information is needed to ensure that virtual backgrounds respond to the camera perspective like a natural background, as well as for VFX workflows in post-production. In addition, electronic lens communication is available via the EF bayonet, providing chromatic aberration and vignetting correction with compatible cameras, and Dual Pixel Focus Guide to support manual focusing, among other features. The CN-E14-35mm T1.7 L is expected to be available in June 2023, and the CN-E31.5-95mm T1.7 L is expected to be available in October 2023. Canon is not communicating pricing. ![]() ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Canon: zwei neue Flex Super-35mm Cine-Zooms, umrüstbar auf Vollformat |
