Canon has unveiled the Canon DP-V2730, a new professional 27" 4K HDR reference monitor for both on-set and post-production use, with a high brightness of up to 1,000 nits and a full range of professional monitoring features. Its color space support includes Canon Dolby Vision certification as well as "Class 1A" award under the EBU TECH3320 standard. The DP-V2730 has a number of monitoring features such as waveform monitor, histogram, luminance display, RGB parade, pixel value checker/color chart, and more. The DP-V2730 has an HDMI input and multiple 12G-SDI connectors (4 inputs and 5 outputs) that transmit 4K 60p 4:2:2 10-bit or 4K 30p 4:4:4 12-bit signals. ![]() Canon DP-V2730 Interfaces It can also be easily connected to a computer, tablet or smartphone, as well as other Canon monitors (via a LAN connection) via Remote Control Web UI. This touch-optimized user interface provides live viewing of images, detailed signal information, and direct control over inputs, monitoring tools, and settings. ![]() Canon DP-V2730 Quad-View 4-way SDI input switching via MULTI-FUNC SDI output supports workflow applications such as sending an output signal to a control room monitor, external recorder, or live streaming solution. Thanks to the total of 5 inputs, two or even four input signals including individual picture profiles or user LUTs can be displayed simultaneously via dual or quad array.
