Canon USA appears to have launched a teaser campaign on X (Twitter) showing a kid with a Canon DSLM and a reference to “exciting news” (meanwhile) coming this week. ;)
We reported on the possible specifications of an upcoming Canon EOS R5 Mark II in  March on slashCam - since then, no new information seems to have surfaced online, making the Canon EOS R5 Mark II one of the best-kept secrets in recent Canon history. ;) Here is a brief recap of the latest possible specifications of a Canon EOS R5 Mark II: - 45MP BSI Stacked CMOS Image Sensor - 3.2″ OLED flip-up display - New DIGIC Processor - No mechanical shutter - Max continuous shooting of 60fps - New AI autofocus functions - 8K RAW video - 4K @ 120fps - Canon Log 1, 2 & 3. Personally, we would welcome the introduction of Canon Log2 in a Canon EOS R5 Mark II, which would enable a much simpler workflow with Canon&s Cinema EOS cameras and would break down the separation between moving images and photography, which is quite pronounced at Canon. However, Canon Log 2 in an EOS R5 Mark II could then also help a Canon EOS R5C to use Canon&s professional log format, which - at least in our opinion - is also ideally suited to the Canon EOS R5C.
