Secretly and quietly, Canon has made the already announced RAW firmware update for the Canon EOS C70 available for free download. With the now available 1.0.3.1 version, the Canon EOS C70 Cinema RAW Light 12 bit with a maximum resolution of 4096x2160 pixels can be recorded internally on SD card. ![]()
With the firmware update, all known RAW flavors of Canon compressed Cinema RAW Light are available: RAW HQ, RAW ST as well as RAW LT. For shooting in maximum S35 Sensor Mode, RAW LT can be shot up to max 59.94P. RAW ST is available up to max 29.97p. If you want to shoot in RAW HQ, you have to use the Super 16 crop with 2048x1080, where RAW HQ is also available. All internal RAW formats are available in 12 bit.
