Canon has filed a patent application for a fingerprint sensor for cameras and lenses - using a technology similar to that used to unlock current smartphones. This could be used to make cameras and lenses more theft-proof or at least deter potential thieves. ![]() Fingerprint sensor on camera and lens
A further possibility would be user-specific setting profiles (including individually assigned function keys), which are activated automatically by touch - practical with cameras that are used by several users for specific purposes. Using a conveniently placed fingerprint sensor, each finger could also be assigned a different function such as autofocus, or exposure. ![]() ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Canon Patent: Fingerabdrucksensor für Kameras und Objektive |
