Canon today announced the launch of a new Cinema EOS camera for January 19, 2022 at 13:00 on ![]()
Canon is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Cinema EOS System, which consists of a range of Cinema cameras and lenses that work together to provide an integrated solution for professional filmmakers and cinematographers. The anniversary provides a nice occasion to introduce a new model in the range. On the net there is already speculation about what kind of camera it could be - the most likely is the arrival of the Canon EOS R5C, about which there are already ![]() also in XF-AVC format. Also interesting for professional (team) productions should be Timecode In/Out as well as the ![]() ![]() ![]() Canon EOS R5C? Our feature wish list for the Canon EOS R5C would also include Canon Log 3 and Log 2, a full-size HDMI output, Cinema Raw Light and MP4 recording, and a full-sensor readout for 4K 60p (the latter would active cooling could put this option within realistic reach. We&re curious to see which of our wishes Canon will grant us.
