The fiddly parameters in {{Image}} and {{Video}} tags are therefore no longer necessary. The migration of old projects is automatic; if manual changes to the table are necessary, Cinecred will indicate this. - Fill characters can now be drawn between the header/footer and body, which then looks like this, for example: Director..........Simon Schwenker - When the rolling title transitions into a slate, it previously stopped abruptly. Now it can also brake gently, and the braking curve is configurable. - When rendering, the output file is now named according to a configurable render target template. - Apple Numbers is now supported as a table format under macOS. - If you don&t want to use Google Sheets but still want to collaborate with others on the credits, you can now use a public or private EtherCalc server for this. ![]() Cinecred GUI What is Cinecred?Every major film project faces the challenge of creating professional credits. Contributors, filming locations, and pieces of music must be listed, and acknowledgments must be made - and the whole thing should of course look good. Cinecred (an amalgamation of Cinema and Credits, the English term for film credits) was developed to help filmmakers with this often annoying task. The basis for Cinecred is a user-created table (Excel, LibreOffice, or CSV) with all the relevant information for the credits. This is read in by the program and can then be designed interactively. The real-time preview is particularly useful, as it visualizes changes immediately and points out possible problems (Blackmagic Decklink cards are also supported for output). Cinecred offers a flexible design system with a wide range of options for layout and design, including the ability to combine title slates with rolling titles. A very practical function of Cinecred is the ability to define a specific duration for the credits or individual sections. The program then automatically adjusts the spacing to precisely achieve the target time. Depending on the requirements, the finished credits can be exported in various formats, including ProRes, DPX sequences, TIFFs, or as a PDF for quick viewing. As open-source software, Cinecred can not only be used free of charge, but also customized and further developed. Users can submit extension requests via the GitHub platform or by e-mail to the developer. This openness makes Cinecred a useful tool for filmmakers that is continuously improved and adapted to the needs of the community.
