HBO has released a series of Behind-the-Scenes videos for the just finished mega-series "Game of Thrones", which show what work went into the production here and made it so high quality. Especially interesting for slashCAM readers is of course the part about the camera work - cameraman Sean Savage has worked on about 73 episodes of "Game of Thrones" on some of the most spectacular scenes and describes among other things his work on the probably best filming of the horror of a close combat battle in Game of Thrones in the "Battle of the Bastards". ![]()
The main camera used was the ARRI ALEXA (Mini) with Cooke S4 and Angenieux Optimo lenses. In some scenes in Iceland the carbon fiber version of the 6K RED Epic Dragon was used on a Freefly MoVI M10 Gimbal due to its low weight. Central to a fantasy series like Game of Thrones and responsible for the spectacular (battle) scenes are of course the special effects. Part of the special effects are the real stunts, such as the exactly choreographed sword fights and scenes with the fire of the dragons. ![]() ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Kameraarbeit, Stunts und Special Effects in Game of Thrones |
