A cutting computer that is compact, powerful and quiet at the same time is usually rare in the PC sector. When assembling a workstation, you almost always have to choose between two of these three features.
In this respect, the last Mac Pro was the great role model for many interested people, but its technology is now quite outdated and a similar performance in the PC area is now relatively compactly packaged if you put together a MiniITX system with a short graphics card. If you are looking for current performance and want to combine more than 6 CPU cores with an RTX 2080 Ti, you won't find a device with the three features mentioned above.
That seems to have changed now, if you believe the review of the current Corsair One i160 system on Computerbase (what we do:). This system manages to operate an RTX2080 Ti and a 12Core (24T) processor in a relatively small case (380mm x 200mm x 173mm) with low throttling and a very low volume level using a sophisticated liquid cooling solution. This is still a class bigger than a MacPro, but should also perform much stronger. In the full version with 32 GB RAM, 960 MB NVMe-SSE, 2 TB HD, and Win10 Pro a quiet mini workstation costs 5,350 Euro.
Compact, quiet and powerful can also be used as a PC, but also expensive and poorly expandable.
