Small, but certainly interesting side note for many readers at the first official IBC evening. We have received definite confirmation from Adobe that ProRes RAW (PRRAW) will now also be developed for Premiere. In contrast to Blackmagic RAW (BRAW), which is installed and maintained via a Blackmagic plug-in, Adobe takes care of integration into Premiere itself with ProRes RAW.
Thus the fight for RAW dominance between ProRes RAW and Blackmagic RAW continues lively. Edius and Media Composer speak both dialects since this IBC, Premiere can now BRAW and soon PRRAW. DaVinci Resolve can only do BRAW and Final Cut Pro can only do PRRAW. We wouldn&t have hoped a week ago that the adaptation would go so fast. Now many users are waiting for the camera manufacturers and their RAW implementations. Nikon wants to deliver this year, Panasonic "early" in 2020.
