Confusion over clean HDMI out of the Canon EOS 650D

Over the cheers just become known "clean" HDMI-out, at least Jared Abrams from Wideopen Camera in relation to the identical t4i why we take seriously that this is also for the european branch, the new EOS 650D will apply. In a pre-production unit, this certainly seems also to be the case. But, what if no menu items are displayed and the output seems actually to 1920 x 1080 output pixels before compression takes place (which for provides fewer artifacts), this seems to be still cheering, no reason to: Because apparently, the image section, only 85 percent of the original surrounded by a gray frame. This is the only stream for 30 seconds and then break off to be visible, if you did not quiet activity until then the Record button.If one while recording a bit at the camera, but this information will then be visible in the stream. This at least says Guy Thatcher in a comment to the linked article. Perhaps this behavior can be influenced but still somehow, otherwise the Magic Lantern guys here can possibly conjure up a few hacks from his vest pocket. In any case, unfortunately, seems to confirm also, that in Moires / aliasing all over the predecessor models is improved compared to nothing. This is partly in this clip from Cinema5D visible: VV = 44,077,443 From this perspective, the 650D is for filmmakers as an update only moderately exciting, unless you need the new auto-focus functions. Price is expected in those days, however, the otherwise very similar stock 550D will be interesting to more infos at bei wideopencamera.com
