Cooke is introducing a new fast lens lineup for full-frame PL/LPL mount cameras. The S8/i series will include a total of 16 fixed focal lengths ranging from 18mm to 350mm. Initially, the focal lengths 25, 32, 40, 50, 75, 100 and 135mm will appear, with the other nine to follow at the end of the year. Except for two very wide-angle lenses (18 & 21mm), all support an extended image circle up to 46.3mm (large format). ;) Cooke S8/i Reihe The lenses of the S8/i series offer a generous T1.4 and are lighter than, for example, those of the Cooke S7/i series, weighing between 2.1 and 3.1 kg. They support the latest /i technology in terms of lens data (/i data focus and iris position, /i motion inertial data and /i maps factory calibrated shading and distortion data).
;) ;) The S8/i series is matched for continuous color reproduction, also to ensure color consistency with other Cooke lenses. The aperture consists of 9 blades. All optics have a front diameter of 104mm, as well as a focus ring gear circle of 140T x 0.8 mod and iris ring gear circle of 134T x 0.8. Cooke doesn&t mention pricing, but the S8/i lenses will cost ,650 (the 135mm a bit more at ,100), according to Newsshooter. Bild zur Newsmeldung:
