Some of the well-known DJI leakers like
Quadro NEws have been releasing info on a new model of DJI&s Air series, the successor to the Air 2s, in recent days. However, DJI is said to have tightened the letters and restricted the flow of information a bit more, so unofficial photos and data on the new model are scarcer than before.

DJI Air 3
What&s known. According to this info, the new DJI Air 3 will launch in June/July 2023 and will feature the following specs: a main camera with a 1" sensor as before, plus a fixed focal length telephoto lens (either a 3x tele with a 1/1.3" sensor or a 7x tele with a 1/2" sensor) - the leaked photo below shows a much larger camera module than before. This would make the Air 3 the second DJI consumer drone to have two cameras, after the now discontinued
Mavic 3. The maximum flight time is said to be 30 minutes, which would be minimally shorter than before.
The imminent launch of a new model is also indicated by the fact that DJI is currently offering the current model
Air 2s at a significantly reduced price of 849 euros (instead of 999 euros), which looks quite like a sale. For comparison: the now about 2 years old
DJI Air 2s has a 1" sensor, a maximum flight time of 31 minutes. From the meager data known so far, the main upgrade of the new Air 3 over the previous model would be the additional telephoto camera.

DJI Air 3 camera.
The new model marks DJI&s new strategy of differentiating its Mini/Air/Mavic drone families not only by features such as sensor size, resolution, shooting format, number of obstacle detection sensors and weight, but also by the number of cameras on board. For example, there is now the
Mavic 3 Classic with only one main camera and the new
Mavic 3 Pro with three cameras (main camera plus two telephoto cameras) - but due to the discontinuation of the "old"
Mavic 3, there is now no model left. This gap in the portfolio would now close the new Air 3 with two cameras and stand out more clearly than before from the
Mini 3 Pro due to the additional telephoto camera.

With a price (according to the leaks) in China of 7,500 yuan, the equivalent of about 990 euros, but in Germany probably a bit more, the Air 3 would continue to position itself between the Mini 3 Pro and the
Mavic 3 Classic.
