The rumors about the upcoming presentation of a new mini action cam from DJI are intensifying. According to 
DJI leaker Jasper Ellens, the Osmo Nano is scheduled to be unveiled on September 10, as a quasi-unofficial successor to the discontinued Action 2 (released in 2021) www.slashcam.de/artikel/Test/DJI-Action-2-in-der-Video-Praxis--Die-modulare-Cyborg-Action-Kamera--FOVs-und-Bildprofile-in-der-Praxis.html and as competition to the new Insta360 GO Ultra. An internal training document for Chinese dealers, leaked to Jasper Ellens, provides initial technical details and reveals the planned scope of functions.

For maximum compactness, the Osmo Nano action cam, similar to the Insta360 GO Ultra, will consist of two modules: a compact camera module with integrated 64 or 128 GB memory, and a monitor module with an SD memory card slot and OLED touchscreen for one-handed operation of the camera and recording settings, as well as viewing the footage. The camera is designed to save its recordings to the SD memory card of the monitor module as soon as they are connected to each other.
The camera is designed to be magnetic on almost all sides, so that it can be attached in various ways as needed. Interestingly, the polarity can be reversed to allow for a wide variety of mounting scenarios. The wording in the training material suggests "positive and negative magnetization." This technology could be particularly interesting for users who frequently switch their camera between different mounts or want to mount it in unconventional positions - e.g. for POV shots, vlogging in urban areas or sports shots.

The Osmo Nano&s range of accessories largely corresponds to previous Osmo products. Among other things, a clip, a suction cup mount and universal GoPro-compatible mounts are listed. In addition, the camera supports the use of a magnetic lanyard - this can be worn under clothing and allows the camera to be attached directly to the body. This accessory ecosystem clearly points to the focus: The Osmo Nano is designed to function as a versatile, portable camera that can be quickly adapted to different shooting situations.

And the price is already known: The Osmo Nano with 64 GB of internal memory will cost 369 euros and with 128 GB 399 euros. It is scheduled to be officially unveiled on September 10, just a few days before the rumored unveiling of DJI&s new Mini 5 Pro drone.
