DJI has released a new firmware (version 01.07.00.20) for its Mini Actioncam DJI Osmo Pocket with integrated one-handed gimbal. The new firmware brings a new feature and several small improvements. The innovation is the long-awaited Hyperlapse time-lapse mode, which accelerates shots of longer distances to a kind of fast but smooth camera movement. Furthermore, the speed of the focus has been increased and the pulsation of the focus minimized.
The Hyperlapse function is only available in the Osmo Pocket itself and not via the DJI Mimo App - this is only planned for a later version. Speeds of 2x, 5x, 10x, 15x and 30x acceleration can be set. The Hyperlapse mode also works with object tracking - but the resolution of the Hyperlapse video is limited to 1080p.
