DeepFake: Face exchange in videos via simple app

For a long time foreseeable, it is now becoming more and more real: to manipulate the almost infinite possibilities by means of AI/deep learning pictures and video with only one push of a button realistically. The latest example combines Ki with the deeper shoots to an uncanny result. It formed itself in a Reddit SubForum its own scene which by means of one of the anonymous user self-programmed tools FakeApp it relatively simply makes it possible in porn films the faces of the actors (at first it is only *inside) to exchange against those of stars and thus porn with its favorite actresses to create themselves. The phenomenon of face exchange via AI has its own name: DeepFake - a conglomerate of deep learning and fake.

But of course there are no limits: everybody can exchange every face for another in every film - and the better the results, the less you will be able to trust (moving) pictures. The prerequisite for a successful facial interchange including correct animation of the facial expressions is a certain number of images on the basis of which the algorithm can be trained by means of Deep Learning - with Stars, of course, there are always enough images available. Thanks to social media, however, most ordinary people are likely to have enough publically accessible photos to realistically exchange a face - in whatever context they may appear. It remains to be seen whether/when stars will have a legal right to demonstrate their own image against such manipulations.

comparable - although only 1 day was worked on it and not the original film material was available, but only the replacement was replaced again.

The subreddit is still a strange mix of celebrity porn and tech talk, but the tool will be better and easier to use with each version and will probably produce many imitators in other areas. The potential for DeepFakes in political fake news, for example, is enormous: be it fake speeches, pornography or violent scenes - with immediate effect, no moving pictorial material can be trusted to the public from obscure sources.

And perhaps with the increasing popularity of such a tool, everyone will soon have the experience of being confronted with fake footage of themselves on social networks (or anywhere else on the net) - be it in a fun way (on the beach on the side of Angelina Jolie) or an unattractive way (Revenge Porno).

However, the possibilities of such a tool for professional purposes is also enormous: it could perhaps make re-recordings with the original actors superfluous or bring dead actors from everyone back on the film stage by acquiring the image rights from the heirs. ODer there are simply mapped to
