EIZO has announced the ColorEdge CG2400SV, a variant of the recently launched ColorEdge CG2400S, specifically optimized for the film and broadcast industry. The 24.1" monitor with WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200) expands its capabilities with an SDI input and output and otherwise offers the same technical features as a wide-gamut IPS panel with large color space coverage and integrated automatic color calibration. EIZO is targeting the new model for use in editing suites, studios and mobile productions.
EIZO ColorEdge CG2400SV
The wide-gamut IPS panel with 10-bit color depth of the EIZO ColorEdge CG2400SV covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color space and supports the BT.2020 standard. It has a maximum brightness of 400 nits and a contrast ratio of 1800:1 and supports 16-bit 3D LUTs as well as HLG and PQ gamma curves for precise HDR display. The True Black Filter compensates for color distortions caused by optical shifts, so that hues retain their depth even when viewed at an angle on the monitor.

Interfaces
As only the second monitor in the ColorEdge series, the CG2400SV has both an SDI input and output (3G-SDI Level A and HD-SDI), enabling lossless transmission of uncompressed video signals, for example for use with camera systems and live feeds. In addition, HDMI and DisplayPort are available as interfaces, as well as two USB 3.0 Type-B upstream ports and an integrated USB hub with 2 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 ports. By means of the two upstream ports, the CG2400SV can be connected to two different PCs and offers an integrated KVM switch (Keyboard Video Mouse) via the USB hub, i.e. devices connected to the hub such as a mouse, keyboard, webcam or a microphone can automatically be used on the currently active source computer.

Automatic Color Calibration
The ColorEdge CG2400S is equipped with Eizo&s integrated sensor technology for hardware calibration, which, in conjunction with the ColorNavigator 7 calibration software, enables automated color calibration - either by means of automatic self-calibration at defined times or centrally via the network. According to Eizo, the special homogeneity correction via Digital Uniformity Equalizer ensures precise and homogeneous brightness and color display over the entire display area. With the Pixel Inspection function, users can directly check whether the signal processing is correctly set in the entire workflow.
