EIZO introduces the new ColorEdge CS2400S, the new generation of its 24-inch graphics monitors with a wide color gamut. In addition to the hardware calibratable 24" WideGamut display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, the CS2400S offers numerous additional docking features via USB-C.
;) EIZO ColorEdge CS2400S With 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, the ColorEdge CS2400S offers a 16:10 aspect ratio, with a 10-bit IPS panel that covers 99 percent of the AdobeRGB and 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. With a maximum brightness of 410 cd/m² and a contrast of 1350:1, this is a typical workstation monitor without HDR. The Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) is supposed to provide a homogeneous image representation and a 16-bit look-up table for an absolutely precise color representation. ;) EIZO ColorEdge CS2400S The EIZO factory calibration is intended to guarantee that the monitor is perfectly calibrated and delivered pre-calibrated. For regular recalibration and to create your own calibration targets, the CS2400S is compatible with EIZO&s free ColorNavigator software, which can be downloaded for free. In addition, the CS2400S is the first ColorEdge monitor in the CSSeries to come with a calibration report. Previously, this was reserved for the CG Series monitors. The typical average power consumption of the CS2400S has also been reduced by 25 percent compared to its predecessor, the CS2420 - from 26 watts to 18 watts. The monitor will be available in stores from August 2023. The recommended retail price is 798 euros. In addition, a limited edition, the ColorEdge CS2400S-LE, is now available at a special price of 649 euros. Both models are covered by a 5-year EIZO factory warranty with on-site replacement. What exactly differentiates the LE model from the more expensive model in August was not further communicated by EIZO. In any case, no technical differences can be determined in the comparison of selected EIZO monitors (comparison with the internal product database). However, there is the following official restriction for the cheaper, immediately available LE monitor: "The CS2400S-LE is fully compatible with all Windows PCs and Intel Macs. With M1/2 Macs, an incompatibility can occur due to the current peculiarity of the monitor signal. Under special circumstances this can lead to a flickering of the monitor image.
