The PocketRIG from Edelkrone continues to evolve - recently available in its third generation, it now comes with an additional half cage that can be optionally attached and accommodates all kinds of other accessories, such as light, monitor, etc.. The position of the threads on the half-cage can be varied.

Edelkrone advertises the PocketRIG v3 as particularly modular, since components can be removed and added as needed. The up to 29cm long support arm, which allows the rig including camera to be supported on the chest or shoulder (or even on a waist belt), is now apparently removable when not needed, reducing weight.
However, to use it to its full potential, a new Handle Pack is needed, which is sold separately and brings four different handles, a top handle, a pair of handles that attach under the rig, and another handle for the right, open side of the rig. Inside the handles are 3 additional 15mm rods that can be used as an option. An optional PhoneGrip is also available, to which a smartphone or alternatively a battery or radio receiver can be attached.
The PocketRIG v3 weighs 593g without the Handle Pack (691g with half cage) and accommodates a maximum payload of 3.1kg. It costs 263 euros, the Handle Pack costs 133 euros, and the PhoneGrip costs 85 euros.
