Eizo has announced the ColorEdge CG3100X, a new 30.5-inch monitor in its CG series aimed at professional users in color grading, VFX, and post-production. It offers a true DCI 4K resolution of 4,096 x 2,160 pixels, an integrated color calibration sensor, a variety of color management functions, and support for HDR workflows.
;) Eizo ColorEdge CG3100X HDR is supported with a brightness of up to 500 nits and a typical contrast of 1,800:1 via Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) for broadcast and PQ curve (ST-2084) for cinematic productions. With Eizo&s ColorNavigator 7 software, any camera log curve can also be individually simulated as a preview - a useful function directly on set. The color mode presets can be easily changed via the switches on the front of the monitor. The integrated calibration sensor automates the color calibration process and works seamlessly with ColorNavigator 7, ensuring consistent color display in all modes - even with multiple devices on the network via the ColorNavigator Network software. ;) Eizo ColorEdge CG3100X In addition to DisplayPort and HDMI (each with support for 4K/60p in 10/12 bit and a variable frame rate of 23-61 Hz), the CG3100X also integrates USB-C with 94 W Power Delivery, an Ethernet port, and a USB hub with four USB-A ports. The integrated fan should be quiet enough at 20 dB not to be disruptive. With the help of Fixed Rate Link (FRL) technology, uncompressed 12-bit 4K video data can also be transmitted via HDMI. For precise content evaluation, the ColorEdge CG3100X offers functions such as pixel inspection, gamut warnings, PQ luminance warning, 4K zoom, and marker overlays - all controllable directly via the on-screen display. Even with changing projects, the automatic adjustment of the color space settings should be possible thanks to "Sync Signal". ;) Eizo ColorEdge CG3100X A special feature of the ColorEdge CG3100X is the AI-supported temperature management for stabilizing color and brightness values. In combination with EIZO&s DUE technology for homogenizing the screen display, a constantly precise image should be displayed within just three minutes after switching it on. The Eizo ColorEdge CG3100X will be available from July, the price is not yet known.
