Eizo has announced the market launch of the new FlexScan EV3285. The 8-bit IPS panel of the 31.5-inch UltraHD 4K monitor has a brightness of 350 nits, a viewing angle of 178°/178°, a contrast of 1,300:1 and a grey-to-grey response time of five milliseconds. Its extremely thin frame makes it ideal for multi-monitor setups. However, since it only supports the 
classic sRGB/Rec.709 color space and has no color calibration options, it is not suitable for tasks such as grading video that require accurate color representation (in a large color space).
A special feature is the USB-C port, which is available in addition to the two HDMI and a DisplayPort connection. It can not only be used for display signals, but also supplies a connected notebook with up to 60W power and provides the upstream for the integrated USB hub with two USB-A 3.1 Gen1 ports with 5 Gbps.

The FlexScan EV3285 has features such as a 10-bit LUT; Picture-by-Picture (PbyP) and Picture-in-Picture (PinP), which allow the images from the different inputs to be displayed simultaneously - as well as Eizos Screen InStyle software, which allows you to define preset modes for specific applications, switch between inputs using hot keys, and synchronously change the settings of multiple monitors (in multi-setups or even via servers in several different locations on the network). Auto EcoView automatically adjusts the brightness of the monitor to the ambient brightness - together with the Paper mode, the blue light portion of the display light can be reduced by up to 80%. The Monior can be dimmed down to a minimum brightness of only 1 cd/m².
The Eizo EV3285 comes in a black or white case with a 5-year warranty including on-site replacement service, costs around 1,500 euros and is delivered in Germany with immediate effect.
