If you need a mobile workstation with truly fast storage (and are willing to pay for it) you should take a closer look at Eurocom&s Tornado F7W. With its three M.2 NVMEe PCIe x4 slots and two 2.5" SATA3 slots, the 17.3" notebook can be equipped with up to 28 TB of storage (3 x Sabrent Rocket 4 TB plus 2 x Micron 5100 8 TB) and configured as RAID 0/1 or 5.
![]() Eurocom Tornado F7W Interfaces include one Thunderbolt 3 port, five USB 3.1 ports, one miniDisplayPort, and one HDMI 2.0 port. An additional Matrox TripleHead2Go GPU with three DisplayPort outputs is optional to address even more external displays. In the maximum configuration with Intel Xeon E-2288G, 28 TB SSDs, 128 GB RAM and Quadro P5200, the Eurocom Tornado F7W weighing about 4.14 kg then costs around 18,000 Euro. As with all OEMs, however, the additional storage space causes above average costs. For example, Eurocom charges an additional 3,000 Euro for each 8 TB Micron 5100 Enterprise SSD drive - at a market price of around 1,200 Euro for the comparable Micron 5300 Pro version as a single component. ![]() Eurocom Tornado F7W An alternative is the 15.6" Sky X4C from Eurocom - although it can "only" be equipped with 24 TB SSD space (it has one M.2 slot less), there are various NVIDIA RTX models available as GPUs. ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Eurocom Tornado F7W: Notebook mit bis zu 28 TB SSD Speicherplatz |
