The new FUJIFILM X-S20 is a lightweight (491 grams) and compact system camera with AI-based autofocus, 6.2K vo and powerful battery. The 26.1-megapixel X-Trans BSI-CMOS 4 sensor is articulating, and the latest X processor is likewise found in the flagship FUJIFILM X-T5 model. The X-S20 hereby offers a total of 19 film simulations, with which FUJI has wanted to set itself apart from the competition for years.

X-S20 records video in 6.2K/30p 4:2:2 10-bit format. It also supports recording in 4K at up to 60p as well as 1080p at up to 240 frames per second. Thanks to F-Log2, it is said to be able to record a dynamic range of more than 13 f-stops. In combination with an Atomos or Blackmagic recorder, 6.2K RAW files can also be created at 12-bit (at up to 29.97p). These are then saved as Apple ProRes RAW or Blackmagic RAW (BRAW) via the external recorders.

X-S20 offers a 7.6 cm (3-inch) touchscreen that swivels and rotates sideways, and a viewfinder with 2.36 million pixels and 0.62x magnification. With the high-performance NP-W235 battery, the X-S20 is said to last about twice as long as its predecessor, the X-S10.

A new Vlog mode is meant to appeal specifically to youtubers, for whom the TG-BT1 handheld tripod is also advertised, which offers an additional connection option for an external microphone. The X-S20 can also be used as a webcam via USB-C.

For 1,399 euros, the FUJIFILM X-S20 should be available from the end of June 2023. A kit (FUJIFILM X-S20 + XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ) should then also be in stores for 1,499 euros.
