Atomos is giving its 5" 4K60p monitor/recorder Ninja V and the Ninja V+ some new features such as custom frame guides, still frame saving, and "onion skinning" via AtomOS 10.74 firmware update, which is free as always. Custom Frame Guides. The new frame guides make it easier for filmmakers to review their frame composition. With the help of the update, it is now possible for Ninja V/V+ to preview the shot as it would appear in different aspect ratios or cropped for different social platforms. In addition, custom guides can now be created to meet specific requirements. Custom guides also include an option to display correctly proportioned safety zones to ensure that the frame is set up correctly during production.
![]() Frame GrabThere are a variety of uses for still images, from providing a reference to storyboarding to posts for social media. With the latest software update, still images can be created and saved directly on the Ninja V/V+. Images can be captured during playback and recording by tapping the new Frame Grab button. Each image is saved as a 1,920 x 1,080 pixel still image in PNG format. This feature can be used in conjunction with the Ninja V/V+&s monitoring tools to capture frames with specific LUTs and create a record of different looks. Onion Skin Overlay. The update also brings the ability to compare and match setups. The term "onion skinning" will be familiar to animators and simply refers to the ability to overlay images with different transparency levels for comparison. The Ninja V/V+&s new Onion Skin feature offers the ability to load a frame grab and then choose between three transparency levels or enable a split-screen view. In addition to quickly loading the last image, all PNG images already loaded on the device can also be selected. ![]() Canon EOS R5 C with Atomos Ninja V ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Firmware-Update 10.74 für Atomos Ninja V/V+ bringt Frame Grab & Guides und Onion Skinning |
