Version 2.00 also lets users embed LUT (Look Up Table) and CDL (Color Decision Lists) data into clips. It also adds new monitor-out features such as zoom to fit anamorphic lenses and the ability to move the position of the capture status indicator and playback status indicator up to 8 positions to the center of the screen - a feature needed in anamorphic modes with zoom to fit.
Additional focus assist functions are also added. For example, one of nine positions of the viewfinder can be zoomed in to facilitate focus finding. The same image as the viewfinder with settings such as peaking and zebra can be output via monitor-out. Playback functions have also been improved - the playback position in the clip is now displayed, allowing frame-by-frame playback. EI metadata is now also applied during playback.
New features have also been added for virtual production. The version 2.00 firmware update adds sync features, including Genlock phase shift, which can be used to shift artifacts on camera until they are minimized. In addition, Genlock is now available when shooting at high frame rates.
VENICE 2 version 2.00 will be released in early 2023.
