Another new cine-glass for full format: As first lens of a new series Meike will bring the fixed focal length 50mm T2.1, which will be released in various mount versions (PL / EF / RF / E / L / Z). It will cover an image circle of 45mm and shall be suitable for high resolutions up to 6K/8K. The minimum adjustment limit is 60mm, the focus range is 330°.
Focus and aperture ring are toothed (M0.8), the aperture consists of 11 blades. The optical construction consists of 12 elements in 8 groups, the lens weighs about 1100g at a length of 102.4mm (PL). The filter thread measures 82mm in diameter.
The price of 959 dollars is quite competitive. The following focal lengths are to follow: 16 mm T2.1, 24 mm T2.1, 35 mm T2.1, 50 mm T2.1, 85 mm T2.1, 105 mm T2.1, 135 mm T2.1. Meike does not yet name an exact marketing start; in a roadmap, the 50mm T2.1 was originally planned for July.
