Eizo has just announced its first OLED monitor, the 21.6" Foris Nova, which will be released in a special 500-piece limited edition. It is also the world&s first OLED monitor with a printed 4K OLED panel. It comes from Japan OLED (JOLED), a joint venture of the Japanese manufacturers Sony, Japan Display and Panasonic and uses an RGB striped subpixel 4K OLED panel with a pixel density of 204 ppi. The Foris Nova probably uses the same 21.6" OLED panel as the Asus ![]() Eizo 4K OLED Foris Nova
The 4K (3,840 x 2,160) OLED panel with a color depth of 10-bit has a very low response time of only 0.04ms, a contrast of 1,000,000:1, a peak brightness of 330 nits (132 nits typical) and covers the professional ![]() However, the interface equipment is a bit meager: the Eizo Foris Nova has only two HDMI 1.4 ports and one USB port for powering a media USB stick such as Amazos Fire TV Stick or Google&s Chromecast. Also its ergonomics reveal that it is not intended for professional work - with the help of its fold-out stand only the picture angle can be changed, not e.g. the height.
