With yesterday&s launch of the Panasonic S5 II and S5 IIX, the first news for accessories for Panasonic&s new video DSLMs has arrived. For example, Zacuto and SmallRig already have cage solutions with different expansion stages for the S5 II / S5 IIX on offer: Zacuto has installed new, rather clever bi-directional nato mounts in its S5 II cage, so that handgrips can now be freely positioned regardless of the orientation of their nato clamp.
Here&s the accompanying promotional video for it:
The Zacuto cage also takes advantage of the Panasonic S5 II&s new loop mounts to provide three fixation points to the camera for twist-proof mounting.
Added to this are ARRI rosette, various ¼-20 and ⅜-16 threads (some including lockpins) as well as an HDMI clamp and Arca-Swiss compatible tripod mount.

SmallRig continues its two-pronged cage solution with the Panasonic S5 II / S5 IIX, featuring a more delicate, tight-fitting Mamba cage by comparison, and a more robustly designed standard cage with more mounts. Here is the accompanying promotional video from SmallRig:
While the standard cage has two Nato rails (top and bottom) as well as two flash shoe mounts on top, the Mamba cage makes do with a Nato rail on the side, but is a bit more ergonomic.
Both SmallRig cages feature an Arca-Swiss compatible base plate and also utilize the new tether loop design of the Panasonic S5 II / S5 IIX for a three-point fixation.
The SmallRig cages start at .90 and .90, respectively.
