With the latest release, Flame VFX/compositing software becomes cloud-ready - the entire Flame product family can now run in the AWS cloud, bringing expanded scalability and, of course, enhanced collaboration capabilities. With solutions such as Teradici CAS remote desktop software, which leverages PCoIP technology, users can connect to a Flame instance anytime, from anywhere, and be up and running in minutes, while parallel distributed file storage solutions developed with WEKA are designed to store and play back recordings securely and in real time.
In addition, the animation editor panel has been redesigned for Flame 2023. It is now said to offer an improved workflow for editing curves - working with curves is said to be more intuitive, selecting points in complex animations more targeted. A new setting optimizes the Flame user interface (UI) on HDR monitors, so that the viewport image and the background interface are now displayed in HDR. There is also compatibility with Apple M-series devices via Rosetta 2 for new hardware options and improved performance, and those using Flame on Rocky Linux 8.5 can process current camera RAW formats such as RED, Blackmagic RAW, and Sony X-OCN from VENICE 2 (6K/8K).
