Samyang reworked further lenses, this time a new edition of the VDSLR cine lenses is released as MK2 series. Initially, the four focal lengths 24mm, 35mm, 50mm and 85mm will be launched, each of which will be available with seven mounts (Canon EF, Nikon F, Canon RF, Sony E, Fuji X, Canon M and MFT). All of them cover the full format image circle and offer a light intensity of T1.5. ![]() The optical design of the predecessors has been retained, but the aperture now consists of 9 instead of 8 blades and the weather protection around the mount is said to have been significantly improved.
Focus and aperture are infinitely adjustable and each has a gear ring for Follow Focus. The gear rims are positioned uniformly on all MK2 lenses, so that lens changes in the rig can be done with the least possible effort. The aperture travel is always 48°, the focus distance varies between 139° and 150°, depending on the lens. The scales are now positioned on both sides of the lenses so that they can be read off easily during shooting. The four new VDSLR MK2 lenses will be available from mid-September, the 24mm versions for 729 Euro, 35 and 50mm each 629, the 85mm costs 469. sets of four are available for 2,599 for the following mounts: Canon EF or RF, Sony E, MFT. In the first quarter of 2021 the 14mm T3.1 will follow as a further MK2 optic. ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Überarbeitete Samyang VDSLR MK2 Objektive ab Herbst, low-budget und auch mit RF-Mount |
