Atomos has released version 11.06.00 of the AtomOS operating system for its Ninja and Shinobi series of mobile recorders/monitors, which introduces several new features. This free upgrade for the Ninja (Ultra/V/V+) and Shogun (Ultra/Connect) enables streaming using the SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol and includes support for EditShare&s Camera-to-Cloud service from MediaSilo as well as support for Fujifilm F-LOG2.
SRT is an open-source video streaming protocol designed to optimize streaming performance over networks with fluctuating quality, such as the public internet. It ensures high-quality video transmission even with poor network connections and significant packet loss or variable bandwidths. Camera-to-Cloud Integration with MediaSilo Atomos announced support for MediaSilo by EditShare at NAB 2024, and it has now been implemented in the latest update. Access to MediaSilo is included in the Camera to Cloud plan of Atomos Cloud Studio, which allows connections and targets to be configured easily via a web interface. Support for Fujifilm F-LOG2 AtomOS 11.06.00 also adds full support for F-LOG2, enabling more accurate color processing when recording and monitoring corresponding videos. F-Log2/REC709/BT2020 gamma/color space can now be used for YCC video, as an "Output" setting for ProRes RAW, and as a color setting for ProRes RAW and Proxy recordings. Bilder zur Newsmeldung:
