Free iOS Camera: Blackmagic Camera App 3.2 for iOS Brings Live Streaming to YouTube, Vimeo, and Twitch

The Blackmagic Camera App brings the user interface of Blackmagic cameras to smartphones and tablets running iOS and Android operating systems. Settings such as frame rate, shutter speed, white balance, and ISO can be adjusted with a single tap. The display can optionally show status and recording parameters, histogram, focus peaking indicators, levels, frame guides, and more.
In recent months, the range of features has further diverged between iOS and Android, meaning that not all systems had the same functions available.

For example, Android has had live streaming capabilities since version 3.0, which were completely missing on iOS until now. But that is now history, as these are now being introduced for Apple devices with the new version 3.2, which is available for free immediately.
And so, it is now possible to stream directly to YouTube, Vimeo, and Twitch using an iPhone and this app. The Blackmagic Streaming Decoder can also be "streamed to" as a destination. Also practical is that with the new version, there are finally detailed status messages when connecting (or disconnecting) external storage for recording. With the last version, the remaining storage size was often not visible when a USB SSD was docked while the camera was running.
Direct recording in industry-standard file formats is supported. Tabs provide access to media management, such as uploads to the Blackmagic Cloud, the chat workspace, and advanced menus. Recording to Blackmagic Cloud Storage enables collaboration with editors anywhere in the world.
The Blackmagic Camera App 3.2 is available for free via the App Stores
The Blackmagic Camera App 3.2 can be downloaded and installed immediately from the Apple App Store. The prerequisite for use is an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision with iOS 17.0 (or visionOS) or newer and at least the A12 Bionic chip.
