In the Alta Multicopter series, the Alta X is the first Quadcopter designed for high payloads to appear -- it can fly much heavier than the Alta 8 with its eight rotors; instead of a 4 in the name, Freefly chooses an X, a graphical representation of the four rotor arms, so to speak. ![]() Alta X incl. MoVI Carbon The Alta X can take off with up to 15.9 kg, but offers a flight time of only 11 minutes. With a load of approx. 9 kg, the flight time increases to 22 minutes. Thanks to a new design called Active Blade, in which the rotor blades are mounted movably, the vibrations are to be reduced by the flight. The camera can be mounted both at the bottom and at the top using the freefly-typical quick fasteners. The Multicopter has a diameter of 1.4m (without rotor blades) and is quite large, but like the Alta6/Alta8 it can be folded up for transport (to 877mm diameter). It is controlled by the SYNAPSE Flight Controller, which like Freefly Alta X is available for ,995 without accessories -- gimbal, landing gear, controller, batteries, etc., even a carrying case is available for an extra charge. ![]() Alta X incl.
