With the newly released firmware updates for the Fujifim X-T4 (Ver.1.40) and X-S10 (Ver.2.30), both cameras are now compatible with Tascam's CA-XLR2d-F XLR adapter. The wireless connection is established via the Fujifilm digital hot shoe. This means that professional microphones with XLR connectors can now also be used when filming.
It seems that a corresponding update will also follow for the GFX100S. But also those who use other Fuji cameras can use the XLR adapter, but then not wirelessly, but by means of an included hot shoe adapter and an analog audio cable.
The professional digital XLR/TRS two-channel microphone adapter and preamplifier CA-XLR2d makes it possible to record high-quality stereo sound with a mirrorless or other camera using external microphones. We had a look at how well this works at
tested here in combination with the Canon R3 and R5C.
